Vem conhecer por dentro a Aldeia do Vale – Projeto Agroecológico e descobrir como diferentes práticas de permacultura, agroecologia e vida regenerativa se podem integrar num mesmo espaço.

Durante esta manhã vamos percorrer a Aldeia e mostrar alguns dos sistemas que fomos criando ao longo dos anos: hortas em permacultura, agrofloresta, plantas medicinais, viveiro, construção natural, saneamento ecológico, compostagem e integração de animais.

Mais do que uma visita, queremos mostrar-te um projecto vivo, onde experimentamos, observamos, erramos, adaptamos e procuramos encontrar formas de produzir alimentos, regenerar o solo, aumentar a biodiversidade e utilizar os recursos de forma mais consciente.

O que vamos visitar?
Hortas em Permacultura e Agrofloresta
Vamos conhecer as nossas hortas e sistemas agroflorestais, percebendo como trabalhamos com diversidade, consociações, cobertura do solo, matéria orgânica e diferentes estratos de vegetação para criar sistemas mais resilientes e produtivos.

Tractor de Galinhas e integração de animais
Vais conhecer o nosso tractor de galinhas e perceber como utilizamos a rotação das aves como ferramenta de regeneração. As galinhas ajudam-nos a controlar vegetação e insectos, fertilizar o solo e transformar matéria orgânica, integrando-se no funcionamento do sistema agrícola.

Eco-construção e construção natural
Vamos mostrar algumas das técnicas e materiais naturais que utilizamos na Aldeia, incluindo terra, argila, palha e outras soluções de baixo impacto. Falaremos sobre construção natural, eficiência na utilização de recursos e algumas das experiências que temos desenvolvido no projecto.

Plantas Medicinais e Etnobotânica
Ao longo do percurso vamos encontrar várias plantas medicinais, aromáticas e espontâneas. Falaremos sobre algumas das suas utilizações tradicionais, propriedades e importância ecológica, mostrando como estas plantas podem fazer parte de uma paisagem produtiva e biodiversa.

Saneamento Ecológico e Compostagem
Visitaremos as nossas casas de banho de compostagem e explicaremos como funciona este sistema de saneamento ecológico, que permite reduzir o consumo de água e devolver nutrientes à terra de forma responsável.
Vamos também falar sobre compostagem e sobre a importância de transformar aquilo que normalmente consideramos “resíduo” num recurso para o solo.

Viveiro e Propagação de Plantas
No viveiro começam muitas das plantas que mais tarde irão integrar as hortas, agroflorestas e outros sistemas da Aldeia. Vamos falar sobre propagação, sementes, produção de plantas e a importância de conservar diversidade vegetal.

Biodiversidade e Nichos Ecológicos
Muros de pedra, zonas de vegetação espontânea, madeira morta, flores, árvores e pequenos refúgios podem ter um papel fundamental no equilíbrio de um sistema agrícola. Durante a visita vamos observar alguns destes espaços e falar sobre a importância de criar habitat para insectos, aves, répteis e outros auxiliares.

Lanche e ConversaNo final da visita juntamo-nos para um pequeno lanche com pão, compotas caseiras, fruta, café e chá.
Será também um momento descontraído para conversar e esclarecer dúvidas sobre o projecto, permacultura, agroecologia, construção natural, plantas medicinais, agricultura regenerativa ou outros temas que tenham surgido durante a visita.

O Dia Aberto é uma oportunidade para conheceres de perto aquilo que fazemos na Aldeia do Vale e perceberes como diferentes áreas — solo, plantas, animais, água, biodiversidade, alimentação e construção — podem fazer parte de um mesmo sistema.

Não pretendemos mostrar um projecto acabado. Queremos mostrar um lugar em permanente construção e aprendizagem, onde tentamos trabalhar com a natureza e não contra ela.
E depois da visita?Quem quiser prolongar a experiência é muito bem-vindo.

Podem trazer o vosso picnic e ficar a passar o resto do dia na Aldeia, desfrutando do espaço, da natureza e de um ritmo mais tranquilo.

A ideia é que o Dia Aberto não termine necessariamente às 12h: depois da visita guiada, podem ficar por cá, almoçar, descansar e aproveitar a Aldeia.

Come and discover Aldeia do Vale – Agroecological Project and see how permaculture, agroecology and regenerative living can come together within the same space.

During the morning, we will walk through the project and show you some of the systems we have been developing over the years: permaculture gardens, agroforestry, medicinal plants, our nursery, natural building, ecological sanitation, composting and animal integration.

More than just a visit, we want to show you a living project — a place where we experiment, observe, make mistakes, adapt and keep learning how to grow food, regenerate soil, increase biodiversity and use resources more consciously.

What will we visit?
Permaculture Gardens and Agroforestry
We will explore our gardens and agroforestry systems and explain how we work with diversity, companion planting, soil cover, organic matter and different vegetation layers to create more resilient and productive systems.

Chicken Tractor and Animal Integration
You will get to know our chicken tractor and see how we use rotational grazing as a regenerative tool. Chickens help us control vegetation and insects, fertilise the soil and transform organic matter, becoming an active part of the agricultural system.

Eco-building and Natural Construction
We will show you some of the natural materials and techniques we use at Aldeia do Vale, including earth, clay, straw and other low-impact solutions. We will talk about natural building, resource efficiency and some of the construction experiments we have been developing within the project.

Medicinal Plants and Ethnobotany
Along the way, we will encounter several medicinal, aromatic and wild plants. We will talk about some of their traditional uses, properties and ecological importance, and how these plants can be integrated into productive and biodiverse landscapes.

Ecological Sanitation and Composting
We will visit our compost toilets and explain how this ecological sanitation system works, helping to reduce water consumption while returning nutrients to the land in a responsible way.
We will also talk about composting and the importance of turning what is often considered “waste” into a valuable resource for the soil.

Plant Nursery and Propagation
Many of the plants that later become part of our gardens and agroforestry systems begin in our nursery. We will talk about propagation, seeds, plant production and the importance of preserving plant diversity.

Biodiversity and Ecological Niches
Stone walls, areas of spontaneous vegetation, dead wood, flowers, trees and small refuges can all play an important role in the balance of an agricultural ecosystem. During the visit, we will look at some of these spaces and talk about creating habitat for insects, birds, reptiles and other beneficial species.
Snack and ConversationAt the end of the guided visit, we will gather for a small snack with bread, homemade jams, fruit, coffee and tea.

It will also be a relaxed moment to ask questions and talk about the project, permaculture, agroecology, natural building, medicinal plants, regenerative agriculture or any other topics that may have come up during the visit.
The Open Day is an opportunity to experience Aldeia do Vale first-hand and understand how soil, plants, animals, water, biodiversity, food and construction can all be part of the same integrated system.

We do not want to present a finished project. We want to share a place that is constantly evolving, learning and adapting, where we try to work with nature rather than against it.
And after the visit?If you would like to stay longer, you are very welcome to do so.

Bring your own picnic and spend the rest of the day at Aldeia do Vale, enjoying the space, nature and a slower pace.
The Open Day does not necessarily have to end at 12:00 pm. After the guided visit, you are welcome to stay, have lunch, relax and enjoy the Aldeia.
